In the age of generative AI, doubt creeps into everything we see, believe, and share. The result? Competing narratives, a fractured reality, a common language coming apart — and a new reflex we all need to learn: assuming that any image is false until proven otherwise. We’re no longer just in the post-truth era, where feelings outweigh facts. Welcome to Post-Reality!

What is a fact, evidence or reality ? What counts as a fact, as evidence, as reality? How do we live in a shared world when we can’t even agree that “two plus two equals four”? Are we losing our grip on the real?

To explore these questions, Méta-Media presents a new episode of Meta-Talk, our media literacy programme that unpacks news and information — continuing the reflections of our latest trend report, Welcome to Post-Reality.” (The English version will be available very soon.)

After a first episode dedicated to journalists and influencers (still available for free on replay and as a podcast), this second one invites us to dive into today’s shifting reality: to understand its mechanisms and, above all, to offer practical ways of seeing more clearly.

Joining our journalist Alexandra Klinnik are leading voices shaping this transformed media landscape:

And you — are you also wondering how to stay informed in this new era of synthetic content? Has AI changed the way you follow the news, or has it left your habits untouched? Have you developed your own reflexes to avoid falling for fakes? Send us your questions and stories — in text or video — using the form at the bottom of this page. Your contributions will help shape the conversation during the show.

This initiative is fully in line with the mission of France Télévisions: to reach every audience and to play an active role in media and information literacy.
