Les projets documentaires - Achats et Coproductions internationales - Appel à projets

As part of a new international agreement, France télévisions and Rai Documentari are coming together to send out a call for documentary proposals.

Italian and French producers are invited to submit proposals for high-quality documentary films dealing with the following themes:

Category 1 : Emblematic European cultural personalities

Category 2 : International social issues and geopolitical questions

Category 3 : Sports personalities

A jury composed of representatives from Rai Documentari and France télévisions will select two ambitious projects.

Proposals must involve cooperation between an Italian and a French producer from the very start of the project.

We expect a 52’ one-off, or 2 x 52’, but no series.

The deadline for submission is April 30th 2024.

The 2 winning projects will be announced during Sunny Side in June 2024. Both winners will have the opportunity to pitch their project during MIA in Rome in October 2024.

Required information:

• A 10 to 15 page treatment setting out clearly how the film will unfold on-screen
• An outline of the structure and description of the visual treatment
• Shooting locations
• Complete budget breakdown
• Production Schedule
• CVs of key members of the production team

Dans le cadre d’un nouveau partenariat entre France Télévisions et Rai Documentari, un appel à projets international est lancé.
Les producteurs italiens et français sont invités à soumettre des projets de documentaires portant sur les thématiques suivantes:
Catégorie 1 : Personnalités culturelles européennes emblématiques
Catégorie 2 : Société internationale ou géopolitique
Catégorie 3 : Personnalités sportives emblématiques et grandes histoires du sport

Ces propositions doivent intégrer une coopération entre un producteur italien et un producteur français dès le début du projet.

Durée attendue : unitaire de 52’, ou 2 x 52’, mais pas de séries.

Pièces à fournir (en langue anglaise) :
- Un traitement de 10-15 pages avec une structure claire et un déroulé précis du film 
- Un traitement visuel détaillé
- Une présentation des experts ou des intervenants
- Une présentation des lieux de tournages
- Un budget détaillé
- Un planning de production
- Une présentation de l’équipe de réalisation, de production et de création graphique.

Date limite de réception des projets : 30 avril 2024

Un jury composé de représentants de Rai Documentari et de France télévisions choisira deux projets.
Les 2 lauréats seront annoncés au Sunny Side en juin 2024 et pourront pitcher leur projet au MIA en octobre 2024.
